Office 365 - Students
Microsoft is offering their Office 365 product to students, faculty, and staff at Fresno State. Technology Services is providing access to this service. Office 365 provides students access to Microsoft software at no cost for academic work and faculty may choose to use this service with their students.
Accessing your Office 365 License
Office 365 licenses are automatically applied to student’s accounts in the beginning of every semester contingent on enrollment. If the semester begins, and you do not have access, please submit an Office 365 service request here.
Office 365 Login
To login to the O365 account, navigate to https://www.office.com/. Your username/email is your Fresno State username/email. You will need to reset your password the first time you login as it is randomly generated and does NOT sync with your other Fresno State passwords.
If you receive an error message that says contact your admin, you will need to submit an O365 Service Request to have your phone number added to your O365 account.

Available Apps with your O365 license:
- For PCs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, OneNote, and OneDrive.
- For Macs: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, and OneDrive.
Microsoft Project is NOT included with the license.
Office 365 Features
- Work from anywhere using your PC, Mac, or mobile device.
- Fast and simple access to files using OneDrive file sharing.
- Files in OneDrive are automatically backed up online.
- Access, edit, and share Word, Excel, and Powerpoint documents from your mobile device using Office mobile apps.

Please note:
- Restricted and confidential data should not be stored in Office 365 OneDrive.
- Google's Gmail will continue to be the primary service for faculty and staff email and calendaring.
- While you may install Office 365 software on up to five computers, all your installs of Office 365 will share the same @mail.fresnostate.edu cloud account.
