Wondering how to remote into your Windows Desktop? This Knowledge Base article will provide instructions on how to connect to your Fresno State Computer using Windows Remote Access on a Windows Computer.


Resolution: 
Please note that before you are able to use Windows Remote Access you must have the Fresno State VPN installed on your computer and must know the name of your Fresno State computer that you will be connecting to.

Once you have installed the VPN, please follow the steps below to setup Windows Remote Access. 

  1. Click the Windows Start Icon in the lower left hand corner of your screen. 
  2. Once you click on the windows start icon please type in Remote Desktop Connections. Then select the icon saying remote desktop connections. 
  3. Once you have clicked on the application, a new window will pop-up. In this new window it will ask you for a computer name. This will be name of your Fresno State Computer. Once you have entered your computer name, you will click on the connect button. 
  4. After you click connect, a new box will pop-up asking for your username and password. This will be the same username and password that you use to log into your Fresno State Computer. Once you have entered in your username and password, please click the ok button. 
  5. If all previous steps are completed, you should now be connected to you Fresno State work computer.
