Check Your Login Credentials
If you are having problems logging into http://fresnostate.box.com please first check your current username and password are correct. You can test this by logging into https://my.fresnostate.edu.
If you are able to log into your my.fresnostate.edu account without any problem please follow the steps below. Logging into Box
Navigate to the following URL - http://fresnostate.box.com. This is the correct BOX web site for "Fresno State BOX."
Once on the Fresno State Box website you will click the Continue button that is located in the center of the screen. Once you click the Continue button you will type in your Fresno State username and password. If you get an error, this means that you have already created a Public Box account using your Fresno State email address.
To Correct This Problem Please Follow The Steps Below To Fix Your Account.
Because you have accidentally created a public Box account using your Fresno State email address we most log into the public Box webpage in order to fix this problem. Please go to https://account.box.com/login. You will then sign in using your Fresno State email address and password that you used when you created your Box account.
Once you are logged into the public Box account your next step will be to change the primary email address associated with this account. We will get to this page by first clicking the link in the upper right hand corner of the screen. You will then select Account Setting. Once you are on the Account Setting page you will then Scroll down to where it says “Add a Collaborator or Link Personal Email”. You will then select the “Link Personal Email” option.
Once you click the “Link Personal Email” button you will then see a new popup window. In the new window please select Link Personal Email.
Verification Email
You will then be asked for an email address please put in your personal non-Fresno State email address, then click Save. Box will send a verification email to the email you just used. Now you need to log into your personal email account in order to verify your new email address for Box. Once you log in to your personal email account there are the two steps that you will have to take in order to verify the new email address that you have added. First find the email from Box.com.
Next you will click Verify Email. Once you click the link you have now verified your email account with box.
Setting the correct email for Fresno State Box
Now that we have added a secondary email address onto you public box account. Our next steps will be to set your new email address as your primary address then deleting your Fresno State email address off the public box account.
1. First we will go back to your box.com account and then go back to the Account Setting page. You will now see that your secondary email address has been added into your Box account. You will now mark the secondary email address as primary by clicking the Make Primary button. When you click the “Make Primary” button it will ask you to verify your password
2. After marking your personal email address as the primary address the webpage will refresh to show that you secondary email account is now marked as your default email address. You can now remove the Fresno state email account by clicking Remove.
You have now removed the Fresno State email address off of the normal, public box account. YOu should now be able to log into the Fresno State Box account by going to https://fresnostate.box.com.
