Subject: How to log on with Duo using a Mobile Phone
Environment: Fresno State University, Duo Mobile
Article Summary: This document provides instructions for using Duo app on your mobile device for two-factor authentication (2FA).
Resolution:
Option 1: Duo Push - You must be on a secure network to use this function. (If on campus you must use Eduroam or the Fresno State WiFi network)
1. Choose your mobile phone from the device drop down list
2. Click "Send me a push" next to the duo push option
3. Your mobile phone will get a notification from duo, open it and choose "approve" or "deny"
4. Once you choose approve, you are authenticated.
Option 2: Phone Call
1. Choose your mobile phone from the device drop down list
2. Click "Call me"
3. You Mobile device will receive a call phone call. To authenticate, answer the call and follow the instructions. You will need your phone number pad.
4. Once complete, you are authenticated
Option 3: Passcode
1. Choose your mobile phone from the device drop down list
2. Choose "Enter a Passcode" from the authentication method list
3. To generate the code, open the DUO app on your smartphone. Click the key icon next to California State University, Fresno.
4. Enter your code into the DUO authentication screen and click "Log In". You are now authenticated.
