DiscoverE Standard Classroom

  • The DiscoverE classroom will either be controlled by a Button panel or touch panel on the desk but the functions between the two should be similar.

  • To get started press the Start button or ON button on the control panel. On a Button panel this will power the projector. On a touch panel you may also have to push the Display ON button. 

  • After about a 1 minute boot up sequence, you will be ready to select the input you’d like to use. 

  • Select the input you’d like to use

    • In our DiscoverE standard classroom you will have the option of using the HDMI port, Wireless Display, Blu-Ray, or Document Camera.

  • If your presentation will include audio make sure the volume on the control panel has been raised to an appropriate level. 

    • On a button panel the volume knob is located on the left side.

    • On a touch panel the volume slider is generally located on the left hand side as well. 

Hyflex Standard Classroom

  • The Hyflex classroom will either be controlled by a Button panel or touch panel on the desk but the functions between the two should be similar.

  • To get started press the Start button or ON button on the control panel. On a Button panel this will power the projector. On a touch panel you may also have to push the Display ON button. 

  • After about a 1 minute boot up sequence, you will be ready to select the input you’d like to use. 

  • Select the input you’d like to see displayed on the projector

    • In our Hylfex standard classroom you will have the option of using the HDMI port, Wireless Display, Blu-Ray, or Document Camera. With the additional function of displaying the in room Hyflex PC.

  • If you would like to show the Hyflex PC on the Display there is a toggle button on the middle left side of the control panel. 

  • If your presentation will include audio make sure the volume on the control panel has been raised to an appropriate level.

    • On a touch panel the volume slider is generally located on the left hand side as well. 

Connecting to the Hyflex PC

  • If you are registered as a Hyflex instructor you’ll be able to log into the Hyflex PC using your credentials. 

  • Once logged into you can open the Zoom room application, log into your Zoom account through SSO.

  • Once logged in you can start any meetings you have scheduled. 

  • There is a built in camera and microphone in the hyflex room for lecture capture and those devices are selected by default when you start a meeting. 

  • When you are finished with your class you can end the meeting in the bottom right corner of the Zoom window

Sharing content to a Hyflex Room

  • If you would like to share content from any of the input available to the room (HDMI, Doc Cam, Wireless Display, Blu-Ray) you can select that on the control panel. 

  • On the Hyflex PC during a zoom meeting. Use the touch panel to do the following.

    • Select Share

    • Select Advanced from the top bar

    • Select Second Camera

      • Also make sure under Share Options, the share sound and Optimize for video share boxes are checked. 

  • At that point whatever input you’ve selected will be shared to the Zoom meeting. If at any point you’d like to stop sharing content to the Zoom meeting, just select STOP SHARE
