Article Summary: Information about releasing Your Emails From Proofpoint via Portal and Digest

Overview

Messages containing viruses, spam, or inappropriate content are blocked. Potentially valid external messages are held in your Spam Quarantine, while newsletters, advertisements, and solicitations go to your Low Priority Mail Quarantine.

You’ll receive an email with a subject beginning “End User Digest” when new quarantined messages are available. The digest is sent once daily. User's can access their quarantine through the Proofpoint portal at https://portal.proofpoint.com/. See more details below.

Proofpoint End User Digest

Your Spam Digest lists messages marked as spam or low priority/bulk and held in your personal quarantine.

Use the links next to each message to:

  • Release: Deliver that message to your inbox.
  • Allow Sender: Allow future messages from that email address.
  • Release and Allow Sender: Deliver the message and allow future messages.
  • Block Sender: Discard future messages from that email address.

Click Manage My Account to view your quarantine, release or delete messages, and manage your safe and blocked senders.

Do not forward your digest.

Messages in Low Priority - Delivered

Proofpoint corrected an issue that caused some low priority messages to appear in Low Priority - Delivered. Future messages of this type will appear in Low Priority - Quarantined, where you can release them yourself.

Users cannot release messages already in Low Priority - Delivered. Technology Services is working with Proofpoint to release messages from senders on the campuswide Allowed Senders list and to determine whether users can be given the ability to release other messages in that folder.

If you need a message in Low Priority - Delivered released right away, please submit a Technology Services ticket for assistance. https://fresnostate.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1922/Portal/Requests/Service/56776/Report-an-Email-Delivery-Issue
